History

The Springbank Heritage Club was incorporated in 1985 and the first shovel for the building was turned in 1986.

The founding members of the club were long-time residents of the Springbank area who all knew each other. The Springbank Heritage Club became a place for social gatherings, where the sense of community was strong. The first singing group quickly turned into Friday jam sessions with dancing. Activities later expanded to include outdoor games, carpet bowling, indoor curling and corn roasts on the BBQ. The club also had an active RV group that took several trips together.

The Springbank Heritage Club was effectively closed by COVID from March 2020 through 2022. However, our volunteers worked hard to maintain the facility during this time. Once the Club was safely able to reopen, many members remained wary of going out in public and were less engaged with club activities.

Since 2022, there has been a resurgence of activity at the club. The weekly exercise class and pickleball sessions have enticed many new members as have our Trivia / Name that Tune night and the Page Turner’s book club. We continue to expand the activities we offer. Check out the Monthly Club Activities tab for a listing of our current activities.
